I am a Lead Product Designer at The New York Times, focusing on the design of the homepage as part of the UX Foundations group. From 2017 through mid-2021, I worked on The New York Times Games team to build upon the legacy of the iconic crossword and help shape the design strategy for a new suite of original games. I also spearheaded art direction for the Wordplay column. (This work is not yet represented in my portfolio here. Updates to come.)
Prior to joining The Times, I earned a BA in film and an MFA in graphic design, worked for a design studio and in independent practice, taught typography at the Pratt Institute, and travelled to Mexico City for two lovely, rain-soaked years.
Additionally, I maintain an independent practice for special projects including documentary animation and illustration.
