Great designer and friend Roman Jaster, in collaboration with artist Matthias Merkel Hess, just launched Mammut, a new biannual magazine dedicated to all forms of the creative process related to nature, landscape and environmental issues: Ecological Aesthetics. Check it out! I contributed an illustration of an egg. 8.31.08

It was an emotional ride through the last weeks of my CalArts MFA, but I'm thrilled to be done (!) and had the great fortune of celebrating on a trip to Asia this summer. Happy to be back though and excited for my next chapter -- site updates to come very soon! 8.5.08

The last of the CalArts Graphic Design End-of-Year Shows that I will be in opened last night. My silhouette in the photo is maybe the least distinctive of the bunch; I didn't realize I had so few curves and angles. (Awesome posters are by the beautiful and talented Teira Johnson.) 5.9.08

I'm in a dark hole called thesis these days. But I look forward to evolving into this guy soon. (Thanks Jen for the fine photo) 3.28.08

As I complain about having to switch to wool from cotton sweaters for my mild California winter, I think about my friend Josh in Chicago who bikes through the season. A Chicago Tribune photographer shot this photo of him on his commute last week. I guess I believe him now. (And I will stop complaining.) 2.3.08

Hello! I'm Caroline Oh, a graphic designer with a particular interest in film and typography who enjoys working with editorial, educational and documentary content. I recently received an MFA in graphic design at the California Institute of the Arts where I studied with design stars like Lorraine Wild, Ed Fella, Jeff Keedy and Michael Worthington. I also had the wonderful opportunity to work with the talented film title designers at Picture Mill in Hollywood and with Rick Valicenti and his fine team at Thirst in Chicago. Before that I studied film and video at the University of Michigan, worked in broadcast post-production in New York and developed literacy products for the American Library Association in Chicago. I am currently living and working in New York City and would be delighted to discuss any potential projects and opportunities.
