SUBCULTURE PROJECT: Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Gloves & Posters

The goal of this project was to choose a subculture that does not have a visual style and create a style through various artifacts that represent the subculture's core philosophy. Experimentation with new form and typography were primary objectives.

Protective gloves listing toxic household items, for use in public and while shopping in grocery and hardware stores. Inspired by plant forms, I aimed to create an organic yet clinical style. Photos of the gloves in use, followed by the original design. 1-color silkscreen, hand-sewn cotton gloves
